The Iconic Reggie Jackson Signing Autographs In Florida (Photo)

Lance Martinez of My Detroit Sports captured this original photo of baseball legend Reggie Jackson signing autographs at Dunedin Park, on Florida’s Gulf Coast, during 2018 spring training.

Jackson is of course known as “Mr. October,” thanks to his historic postseason efforts with both the Yankees and Athletics, including hitting three homeruns for New York in the clinching Game 6 of the 1977 World Series.

Jackson was also a key member of the great Oakland Athletics teams that won three straight World Series from 1972-1974.

All told, Jackson was a five-time World Series champion, 14-time All-Star and the 1973 AL MVP. The 1993 Hall of Fame inductee finished with 563 homeruns and 1,702 RBI.

These days, Jackson still has close ties to the Yankees, as he has long served as a special adviser to the club, with a portion of his duties occurring during spring training.
