Jerry Remy Getting Back To Work In MPLS (Video)

Jerry Remy is the longtime color commentator for the Boston Red Sox. Prior to his broadcasting career, Remy, a Massachusetts native, was a second baseman for the Angels, before finishing his career with his hometown team.

Remy has worked as the Sox color commentator since 1988, for the team owned New England Sports Network.

Remy's popularity within Red Sox Nation is evident when considering his multiple business interests outside of television.  Remy is the owner of two Jerry Remy's Sports Bar & Grill restaurants in Boston, as well as a hot dog stand (Remdawg's), located across the street from Fenway Park and inside Logan Airport.

Not only is Remy admired in Boston, he is also well known among baseball fans throughout the country. Above is iFolloSports.com original video of Remy signing autographs for fans outside of the Grand Hotel Minneapolis last week.

This scene took place the afternoon after Remy was forced to miss the Red Sox broadcast, because he was not feeling well.
