Joe Mauer Now Has His Very Own Minnesota Twins

Shortly before Tuesday night's game against the Los Angeles Angels, in Anaheim, Joe Mauer was pulled from the Minnesota Twins lineup, after being informed that his wife was going into labor. Early Wednesday, after Mauer had arrived back home in Minnesota, the star catcher and his wife Maddie welcomed twin girls (Emily and Maren) into the world.

Of course, the man who grew up in the Twin Cities, worshipped the Minnesota Twins as a child and serves as the Twins franchise's marquee player, now has twins of his very own. Could it have been scripted any more perfectly for Mr. Mauer?
