Above is original video of former star MLB manager and player Joe Torre signing autographs outside of Comerica Park in Detroit. The clip was provided by Michigan based correspondent Lance Martinez.

To younger generations, Torre is famous for leading the Yankees to 4 World Series titles in 5 years (1996, 1998, 1999, 2000), amid guiding New York to 12 postseason appearances and 6 AL pennants. The Brooklyn native later finished his managerial career with the Dodgers, advancing to the NLDS twice.

In addition to managing the Yankees and Dodgers, the 75-year-old previously manned the bench for the Mets, Braves and Cardinals, compiling a total of 2,326 wins and 15 postseason appearances as a skipper.

All of the above coaching accomplishments earned Torre election into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2014.

Older fans also know Torre as a catcher, first baseman and third baseman for the Braves, Cardinals and Mets. Torre's on field résumé includes 9 All-Star Games, winning the 1971 NL MVP, collecting 2,342 hits and posting 1,185 RBI.

These days, Torre is the Executive Vice President of Baseball Operations, for Major League Baseball.
