In addition to managing the Yankees and Dodgers, the 75-year-old previously manned the bench for the Mets, Braves and Cardinals, compiling a total of 2,326 wins and 15 postseason appearances as a skipper.
All of the above coaching accomplishments earned Torre election into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2014.
Older fans also know Torre as a catcher, first baseman and third baseman for the Braves, Cardinals and Mets. Torre's on field résumé includes 9 All-Star Games, winning the 1971 NL MVP, collecting 2,342 hits and posting 1,185 RBI.
These days, Torre is the Executive Vice President of Baseball Operations, for Major League Baseball.
