Jonathan Papelbon Chasing Kids At LA Hotel (Photo)

Early last week, a few hours prior to the Philadelphia Phillies series opening matchup with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Phillies closer Jonathan Papelbon was spotted in the lobby of the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza, in the Century City section of Los Angeles.

After returning from the adjacent Westfield Century City Mall (shopping bags in hand), the gregarious former Red Sox reliever played family man, as he made his way through the hotel with his wife and two young children.

At one point, Papelbon was heard telling his kids to stop running around, so he could drop them off and then take the 14-mile trek to Dodger Stadium.

Later that night, Papelbon picked up his 20th save of the 2012 season, in Philly's 3-2 victory over LA.

The five-time All-Star's on and off the field persona was on full display, as he played big time MLB reliever in the evening, while performing the far more important role of husband and father, during the daylight hours of a balmy summer day in West LA.
