Liriano & Cueto Enter Wild Card Game With Noteworthy Stat Lines

Tuesday night, the Pittsburgh Pirates (94-68) host their National League Central Division rival, the Cincinnati Reds (90-72), in the National League Wild Card Game. The Pirates come into this contest hot, after sweeping the Reds over the weekend and earning the home field advantage in the game. This is the Pirates first postseason appearance since 1992, while the Reds are making their third trip to the playoffs in the last four years.

Tuesday's pitching matchup features the Pirates Francisco Liriano (16-8) vs. the Reds Johnny Cueto (5-2). Liriano was 8-1, with a 1.47 ERA at home this season. For his career, Cueto is a remarkable 13-4, with a 2.37 ERA versus Pittsburgh.
