Louisville Slugger Holds Massive Giants Scavenger Hunt In San Fran

Louisville Slugger Giants Digital Scavenger HuntLast Saturday, Louisville Slugger hid 30 commemorative bats at various San Francisco and Bay Area landmarks, as part of an ongoing celebration of the Giants' second World Series title in three years.

The first of the full sized, big league quality bats, (inscribed with the World Series trophy and Giants logo) was hidden at AT&T Park. Subsequent clues were then posted on Louisville Slugger's Facebook and Twitter pages, beginning at 9 AM, with tips on the whereabouts of the bats posted every 15 to 20 minutes.

As it turned out, some of the other bats were found at famous San Francisco locations, such as Fisherman's Wharf and the Palace of Fine Arts, as well as across the bay in Oakland and as far south as San Jose.

Is there a better championship city to host a digital scavenger hunt than San Francisco?

Who knew that baseball bats and the world of high tech would make such an ideal pair?
