Lance Martinez of My Detroit Sports attended the gathering and captured these photos from the renovated site of the Tigers former home ballpark, the legendary Tiger Stadium.

This camp for kids used to be held in Lakeland, Florida, the Tigers longtime spring training home. The state of Florida will still be hosting a “Miggy Ball” gala this winter, with a January event scheduled for Miami.

For a long stretch of years, Cabrera was one of the best players in baseball, putting up prolific numbers every season, including winning back-to-back MVP's in 2012 and 2013. In 2012, the Venezuelan not only won the AL MVP award, but also earned the Triple Crown, leading the league in homeruns, batting average and runs batted in.

In 2018, injuries limited the now 35-year-old to just 38 games, amid a campaign where he posted just 3 HR and 22 RBI. For his career, the 11-time All-Star and seven-time Silver Slugger award winner has amassed 465 big flies and 1,635 runs driven in, all while collecting a .316 career average.
