Nowitzki Basking In Career Fulfillment (Photo)

Last June, after 13 Hall Of Fame caliber seasons, Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki finally reached the top of the NBA mountain. Dallas' six-game Finals upset of the Miami Heat solidified Nowitzki's place as one of the greatest and most unique players ever to play the game.

The German-born seven footer is without question the most outstanding European import in the history of the NBA. The man with a center's body has revolutionized the forward position, while helping to spread the game's popularity across the Atlantic Ocean.

The 33-year-old is most certainly reaping the benefits of the many accomplishments mentioned above.

As a result of earning approximately $141 million during his career, Nowitzki is the proud owner of a 9,215 square foot home in a Dallas neighborhood he shares with residents that include Mark Cuban, Jerry Jones, T. Boone Pickens and former President George W. Bush.

Wednesday, per the above iFollowSports.com original photo, Nowitzki was spotted at The Ritz-Carlton, Marina Del Rey hotel in Los Angeles. The Mavericks were closing out an extended stay in LA that ended up involving buzzer beating losses to the Lakers and Clippers respectively.

Hours after the Dirk sighting, the Clippers Chauncey Billups nailed a three-point field goal with one second remaining, defeating the Mavs 91-89. Nowitzki posted 17 points and 7 rebounds in the loss.

Nowitzki's year of excellence will culminate on January 25, when the Mavericks receive their championship rings, prior to a home game versus JJ Barea and the Timberwolves.
