Brett played every one of his 21 MLB seasons in Kansas City (1973-1993), amid totaling 3,154 career hits, which places him 15th on the all-time list.

Baseball hall of famer George Brett's résumé includes 13 All-Star appearances, three AL batting crowns, the 1980 AL MVP, while also serving as a key member of the Royals 1985 World Series winning team.

Since retiring from the diamond, Brett has remained a fixture in the Royals organization and Kansas City community, with the 64-year-old currently working as the team’s vice president of baseball operations.
