Tigers & Twins Could Not Be More Different These Days

Around 32 degrees game time temperature for Twins openerMonday afternoon, the Minnesota Twins host the Detroit Tigers, in an opening day contest, played amid a brisk game time temperature of right around 32 degrees, in Minneapolis.

The Tigers are the two-time defending American League Central Division champions, as well as the 2012 American League champs. With an already loaded roster, including Triple Crown winner/2012 MVP Miguel Cabrera and All-Star first baseman Prince Fielder, Detroit successfully added Torii Hunter to their lineup, making them the heavy favorites to win the division once again, as opposed to the Twins, who are very much rebuilding for the future.

This game also features a pitching matchup of arguably baseball's best pitcher, the Tigers Justin Verlander, (just signed a potentially $200 million plus contract), versus the Twins  Vance Worley.
