Torii Hunter Clearly Leaves A Mark (Video)

Angels outfielder Torii Hunter is shockingly beginning his seventeenth Major League season. The nine-time Gold Glove winner and four-time All-Star is in his fifth season with LA of Anaheim, after spending his first 11 years with the Twins.

Known for his gritty play, spectacular catches, gregarious personality and community involvement, Hunter grew into a beloved figure during his stints in both the Midwest and West Coast.

After the 2007 season, in a very bittersweet moment for Hunter and Twins fans, the Arkansas native signed a five-year/$90 million contract to play baseball in Southern California.

This week, Hunter and the Angels are in Minneapolis to play the Twins. As the above iFolloSports.com original video displays, the now LA right fielder is still a very popular figure in Twins Territory. Wednesday, Hunter took ample time to sign for a group of people outside of the W Hotel Minneapolis, a few hours prior to his current team's 6-5 loss to his former team.

Clearly, Hunter will always be thought of in special regard by Twins fans, thanks in part to his winning play on the field and how he so successfully carried on the CF legacy of the late great Kirby Puckett.

Torii Hunter is a very unique baseball player.
