Two-time Manager Of The Year Signing (Video)

The Oakland Athletics own baseball's best record at 66-41. This is quite a feat, considering the A's play at the Coliseum, one of the most outdated stadiums in all of professional sports. Oakland's substandard ballpark only allows the club to possess MLB's 27th highest payroll, entering 2014.

Young All-Stars like Yoenis Cespedes, Josh Donaldson and the newly acquired Jeff Samardzija have put the A's in position to reach the postseason for the third straight year.

In addition to the players on the field, one of the most underrated aspects of Oakland's success involves the very underrated managerial abilities of Bob Melvin.

A few weeks ago, Michigan based contributor Lance Martinez captured the above original video of the A's skipper entering Comerica Park in Detroit. The two-time Manager of the Year (NL – 2007, AL – 2012) stopped to sign autographs for a fan stationed outside the entrance to the Tigers'  administrative offices.

Fans can also check out this original video of the A's team entering Comerica Park, shortly after the above Melvin video.
