Will Ozzie Guillen Be Back With The Marlins In 2013?

Ozzie Guillen to be firedIt all looked very rosy for the Miami Marlins this spring, a glorious new stadium, accompanied by many new stars on a suddenly high salaried roster. The Marlins were a trendy pick to win the NL East, but things went south in a hurry.

Miami's record now stands at 66-90, a whopping 27 games out of first place in its division, while playing in an empty, albeit modern ballpark.

Amid a growing array of temper tantrums within the organization, outspoken first-year manager Ozzie Guillen let loose, regarding rumors that team owner Jeffrey Loria may be considering a change.

"Look at yourself in the mirror and ask why so many (bleeping) managers come through here," exclaimed Guillen, in reference to the man who signs his paycheck.

In a related note, reliever Heath Bell has been publicly critical of Guillen in the South Florida media.

"It's hard to respect a guy that doesn't tell you the truth or doesn't tell you face-to-face," said Bell to WQAM Miami.

In an additional bit of hilarity, Bell later claimed to have left a message for Guillen, apologizing for his comments.

Amazingly, the former White Sox skipper never heard the voicemail, instead choosing to delete it because he did not recognize the phone number on his caller ID.

It should be pointed out that the manager has also expressed an unfavorable public opinion of Mr. Bell, during the last few days.

Wow!

As the soap opera continues, the next question becomes will Ozzie be back next season?  We estimate that at 50-50. The best thing Guillen has going for him is his contract, which runs all the way through the 2015 season.
