My Visit To The NASCAR Hall Of Fame (Photos)

During a recent business trip to Charlotte, I attended a dinner at the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Located in downtown Charlotte (also known as Uptown), this shrine to auto racing sits immediately adjacent to the Charlotte Convention Center.

I must say, even though I do not follow NASCAR, I did find the hall really interesting and a whole lot of fun to visit.

In addition to the many tributes to both drivers and cars, the museum allows visitors the opportunity to ride simulators, where one is able to replicate what it's like to travel 200 MPH around a track.

Above are a sample of the photos captured during the visit, including exhibits featuring the Earnhardt and Petty families, as well Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon.

If a NASCAR fan happens to find themselves in or near the city of Charlotte, I 1,000 percent recommend making a pit stop at the Hall of Fame. If you're a sports fan, but not a racing fan, I still very much endorse a “left turn” into the venue.
