Amar'e Stoudemire Signing Autographs (Video)

Amar'e Stoudemire is a power forward for the New York Knicks, in his eleventh NBA season and third in the Big Apple. The Florida native was originally drafted by the Phoenix Suns in 2002, where he spent his first eight years (2002-2010). During his stint in the desert, Stoudemire made five of his six All-Star appearances, while winning the 2003 Rookie of the Year and being named to the All-NBA First Team in 2007.

After the 2009-2010 campaign, Stoudemire and the Suns parted ways, when he was a member of the famous 2010 free agent class, which was headlined by LeBron James. During that period, the Knicks quickly signed him to a five-year/$99.7 million contract.

Since coming to New York, Stoudemire, along with the acquisition of Carmelo Anthony, has helped bring the Knicks back to prominence, as well as the Eastern Conference playoff mix. This season, Stoudemire has once again battled knee problems (missed most of 2005-2006 season after micro fracture surgery), causing him to miss the first 30 games. Going into Monday, Stoudemire is averaging 13.8 points and 4.7 rebounds per game, in 2012-2013.

With all of his accomplishments, Stoudemire has become a very well known NBA player. Above is iFolloSports.com original video of Stoudemire interacting with fans outside of the Target Center in Minneapolis, last Friday. This clip occurred a few hours before the Knicks 100-94 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. In that contest, Stoudemire totaled 11 points and 5 rebounds.
