Andrew Wiggins Signing For Fans (Photo)

Wednesday, Minnesota Timberwolves second-year guard/forward Andrew Wiggins was once again selected to represent the World team in the Rising Stars Challenge at All-Star weekend. During last year’s game in New York, Wiggins walked away with MVP honors. What makes the February 12 event even more special for the 21-year-old (turns 22 on February 23) is that All-Star festivities are taking place in his hometown of Toronto. As a result, Wiggins will absolutely be one of the main attractions of the weekend, even though he is likely not participating in the All-Star Game itself.

Last season’s rookie of the year is playing even better this season, raising his points per game average to 20.8, 4 points greater than his 2014-2015 pace. Though Minnesota has struggled to a 14-33 record, the future remains bright at Target Center, with Wiggins and teammate Karl-Anthony Towns poised to become the NBA’s next great tandem.
