Bobcats Rising, Wizards Not So Much

Bobcats reach seven winsThe Charlotte Bobcats defeated Washington 108-106, in double overtime Saturday night, improving their early season record to 7-5. Despite the team's 45-point blowout loss to the Thunder on Monday, this seven-win clip is nothing less than remarkable considering that Charlotte finished last season with a record of 7-59, the worst in NBA history.

The Bobcats added five new players to their rotation this season, including draft choices Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Jeff Taylor. In addition, free agents Ben Gordon and Ramon Sessions are all making contributions, with Kemba Walker and Byron Mullens, who were with the team last year, also both stepping up their play.

The winless Wizards, who dropped to 0-12, are now officially the NBA's bottom feeder.
