Carmelo Anthony Discusses A Variety Of Topics On First Day In OKC (Video)
Saturday, Carmelo Anthony’s long sought-after divorce from the New York Knicks finally came to fruition, when the 33-year-old future hall of famer was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder, in exchange for Enes Kanter, Doug McDermott and the Chicago Bulls 2018 second round pick (acquired via trade last season).
Anthony joins defending NBA MVP Russell Westbrook and recently acquired four-time All-Star Paul George in OKC.
Monday, the Thunder hosted team media day at Chesapeake Energy Arena, the franchise’s downtown home stadium.
Amid the festivities, Anthony and his 24.8 career points per game average, sat down with NBATV’s Dennis Scott for an extended interview. During this exchange, the former Knick and Nugget discussed his reasons for leaving New York, how he will fit in with his new team, thoughts on President Trump’s ongoing war of words with the NFL and NBA and his expectations for the upcoming season.
