Check Out The Short Film That Led To An Oscar For Kobe Bryant (Video)

Sunday night, retired Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film at the 90th addition of the Oscars.

The awards gala was held at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre, located 52 miles northwest of Kobe’s Newport Beach, California home and seven miles northwest of Staples Center, which is found in downtown LA.

Titled “Dear Basketball,” the 5:20 film was written and narrated by Kobe, directed and animated by Glen Keane and scored by the iconic John Williams.
