Up Close Looks At Kyrie Irving and Isaiah Thomas With Their Now Former Teams

Kyrie Irving and Isaiah Thomas blockbuster tradeTuesday night, amid an NBA offseason that has seen star players change teams at a rate greater than perhaps any offseason in the history of sports, a pair of big name ballers became the latest All-Stars forced to pack up and relocate to another location.

In an absolute blockbuster, the Cavs sent Kyrie Irving to the Celtics for Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic and the Nets unprotected 2018 first round pick.

Irving joins newly acquired Gordon Hayward, recent lottery selections Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, along with four-time All-Star Al Horford, as Boston’s core group of players.

As far as Cleveland’s side of the deal, Thomas’ 28.9 PPG average of last season and Crowder’s all-around gritty game now accompanies a lineup that still features LeBron James, Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson.

As a bonus, Brooklyn’s likely 2018 lottery pick could potentially aid in the Cavs ability to retain LeBron, when he once again becomes a free agent next summer. Even if the NBA icon departs, the Nets pick allows Cleveland the opportunity to reload their roster with what could be the number one overall player in next June’s draft.

With Irving and Thomas representing the centerpieces of this huge deal, below are a series of iFolloSports.com original videos and photos chronicling past periods in which both players were perfectly ensconced on their now former squads.

Here are up close looks at Irving and his former Cavs teammates, during successive season visits to LA.
