Community Focused Devean George Seen In Hometown
Last week, an iFolloSports.com tipster spotted former NBA player and Minneapolis native Devean George at the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport. George played in the association for 11 seasons, most notably as a role player with the Lakers, where he won three championships playing alongside Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal.
George has been out of the league since 2010 and resides back in the Twin Cities.
The now 36-year-old founded the George Group North and the non-profit organization Building Blocks. Both ventures focus on improving the residential and business environment of his native north Minneapolis, with the George Group North emphasizing real estate development , while Building Blocks works to provide programs and camps that promote healthy living among children and teens.
