Davis & D'Antoni Sharing Some Laughs In LA (Video)

It can be argued that New York Knicks head coach Mike D'Antoni and newly acquired point guard Baron Davis are of like mind when it comes to basketball philosophy. Both men have produced very solid careers, void of defensive emphasis and late round playoff success.

This pairing might very well be a match made in hoops heaven.

Thursday, as displayed on this ifollosports.com original video, the coach with a career regular season record of 371-317 was seen laughing it up with the player who has averaged 16.5 points per game and 7.3 assists per game during his 13-year NBA career.

The scene took place outside the Montage Beverly Hills hotel.

Davis was picked up by New York after Cleveland elected to exercise the NBA's new amnesty rule. The UCLA alum's Big Apple debut will be delayed potentially for the first 10 weeks of the 66-game abbreviated season, due to a herniated disk in his back.

Once Davis returns, it will be interesting to see if he will be able to solve the Knicks glaring weakness at the point guard position. D'Antoni's team currently ranks near the bottom in assists, during this very young NBA season.

Shortly after the above video was taken, the Knicks lost to the Lakers by 17 points, collecting only 15 total assists in the defeat.
