DeAndre Jordan Appearance At LA Mall (Video)

As the Los Angeles Clippers get set to open up their much anticipated first round playoff series versus the Memphis Grizzlies, all eyes will be focused on the play of high flying Blake Griffin and point guard extraordinaire Chris Paul. While these two stars absolutely deserve the level of acclaim they receive from media and fans alike, the solid and continually improving play of center DeAndre Jordan can by no means be undersold.

The fourth-year man out of Texas A&M has seen his statistics steadily grow since being selected in the second round of the 2008 NBA Draft. During the abbreviated 2011-12 season, Jordan averaged 7.4 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game. Jordan's two blocks per contest tally placed him fourth in the league in that category.

In addition to his solid numbers, Jordan was the picture of durability for coach Vinny Del Negro, as he started all 66 games of this season's very compressed schedule.

At only 23-years-old, the 6-11 lefty would appear to be one of the cornerstones of the Clippers suddenly very bright future.

On Friday April 20, Jordan made an appearance at the Champs Sports store, inside the Westfield Culver City (CA) Shopping Mall, formerly known as the Fox Hills Mall.

Per the above iFolloSports.com original video, Jordan was a big hit amongst both LA hoops fans and store employees. The Houston native appeared to be quite comfortable with the greatly enhanced level of notoriety he has experienced over the last few months.

The recently renovated mall is situated just on the other side of the 405 Freeway from the Clippers Playa Vista practice facility.

This iFolloSports.com up close original video from December shows Chris Paul arriving at the state-of-the-art practice venue, shortly after his trade from the New Orleans Hornets became official.
