DeMarcus Cousins Joking With Teammates (Video)

DeMarcus Cousins is a center in his second season with the Sacramento Kings. Cousins played at Kentucky for one season, where he averaged 15.1 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. Cousins and teammate John Wall helped guide Kentucky to one of the NCAA's best records and an Elite Eight appearance during the 2009-2010 season. Cousins was the controversial fifth pick of the 2010 NBA Draft by the Kings. There was a lot of talk that the Timberwolves would select Cousins with the fourth pick, but instead they chose Syracuse's Wes Johnson.

So far, Cousins has had the better NBA career of the two, but Cousins has presented some character issues, where as Johnson has been a model citizen. Earlier this season, then Kings coach Paul Westphal sent Cousins home, saying that he (Cousins) did not want to travel in the same direction as the rest of the team. In the midst of this drama, Cousins demanded a trade out of Sacramento.

Amazingly, Westphal was fired just a few days after this incident. He was replaced by current coach Keith Smart.

Tuesday night, per the above original video, Cousins was seen smiling and joking around with a few teammates, most notably Francisco Garcia. This took place prior to the Kings Tuesday night game against the Timberwolves, at the Target Center in Minneapolis. The Kings lost the game 86-84, with Cousins totaling 10 points and 11 rebounds.
