Derrick Rose Up Close Pre Latest Injury (Photo)

Bulls guard Derrick Rose has had an interesting last few years. Rose was the 2011 NBA MVP, but has battled numerous injuries ever since. After only playing in 39 regular season games, during 2011-12 (toe, back, groin injuries), Rose tore his ACL in the 2012 playoffs, causing him to miss the rest of the postseason and the entire 2012-2013 season. Early last season, Rose tore his meniscus, which once again sidelined him for the remainder of the year. After being in and out of the lineup this campaign, Rose tore his meniscus again and is currently unable to play, with his playoff status very much up in the air.

Simply stated, the Chicago native has barely been on the court, dating all the way back to the 2011 postseason. This unfortunate situation has left many to wonder if Rose will ever return to his former healthy and productive self.

Last month, just a few days before his latest setback, Michigan based correspondent Lance Martinez captured the above original photo of Rose talking to the Pistons John Lucas III. This scene occurred before a game at The Palace of Auburn Hills. During the contest that followed, Rose scored 8 points and tallied 2 assists, in the Bulls 100-91 loss to the Pistons.
