Dirk Explains The Crazy Club Glasses
Hours after the Dallas Mavericks NBA title clinching victory vs. the Miami Heat, several Mavs, including Finals MVP Dirk Nowitzki, were photographed at LIV, the trendy nightclub inside the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach. One of the more noteworthy pictures showcased a jubilant Nowitzki partying, while wearing an unusual pair of glasses.
Tuesday, while appearing on ESPN's “Pardon the Interruption,” Nowitzki explained the origin of the now famous specs and if he intends to make them a permanent part of his appearance.
“This is not my look, but obviously when you had a couple cocktails, we didn't have food that night either because we went straight from the gym, so I guess that's what kind of happened. I stole those from our French center Mahinmi,” said Nowitzki.
The Finals MVP added, “He (Ian Mahinmi) was the man of the match for us, so I just took his glasses and wore those and kind of ran with that one. But, it's not gonna be any look for the future for me.”
