Earlier this month, Nowitzki became the sixth player in NBA history to reach the 30,000-point milestone. All told, the German native has averaged 21.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.

The 38-year-old’s hall of fame résumé also includes 13 All-Star selections, the 2007 NBA MVP award and the 2011 NBA Finals MVP honor, earned after Dallas’ upset victory over LeBron James and the Miami Heat.

Now in his 19th NBA campaign, the ninth pick in the 1998 draft (traded from Bucks to Mavericks on draft day) is posting 14.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists per contest. Nowitzki missed most of the first two months of 2016-2017, due to an Achilles injury.
