Dumars, Wallace, Burke At MI Hoops Event (Videos)
By Jon Rapoport
Last month, former Detroit Pistons greats Joe Dumars and Ben Wallace hosted the first annual ‘Balling' event. The free to the public gathering was held at Rochester High School, in the Detroit suburb of Rochester Hills. The high school sits six miles east of The Palace of Auburn Hills, the Pistons home arena since 1988.
Dumars, a 2006 Hall of Fame inductee, was the starting shooting guard for the back-to-back “Bad Boys” Pistons championship teams (1989-90), while also serving as the president of basketball operations for Detroit's 2004 championship club.
Wallace, a 4-time All-Star, was an integral member of the aforementioned '04 Motown title team.
iFolloSports.com Michigan correspondent Lance Martinez chronicled the exhibition game, which also featured Trey Burke, Adreian Payne (adorned in Hawks gear) and Draymond Green.
In addition to providing highlights of the festivities, interviews with both Dumars and Burke are present in the original video package.
