Durant, Anthony & Irving Headline USA Olympic Basketball Team

2016 U.S. Olympic Men's Basketball TeamMonday, USA Basketball officially unveiled the 2016 U.S. Olympic Men's Basketball Team, which will compete in the upcoming Rio games. The 2016 Olympics get underway on August 5, with the basketball competition tipping off August 6 at Rio’s Carioca Arena.

For the third consecutive games, iconic Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski will lead the national team, which is headlined this time around by Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony, Kyrie Irving, Paul George, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.

The remainder of the roster features Harrison Barnes, Jimmy Butler, DeMarcus Cousins, DeMar DeRozan, DeAndre Jordan and Kyle Lowry.

Prior to departing for Rio, the national team will train in Las Vegas from July 18-21, before playing exhibition games in Vegas, Los Angeles, Oakland, Chicago and Houston. 

Team USA is seeking their third consecutive Gold Medal and 14th overall.
