ESPN's '30 for 30' Series To Debut Pistons ‘Bad Boys' Film
Immersed in what appears to be the franchise's fifth consecutive non-playoff season, the once mighty Detroit Pistons are as far away from an NBA championship as perhaps any team in professional basketball, at the present time. With this being the case, Pistons fans yearning for the glory years of Detroit hoops will soon have an opportunity to relive the days of one of the most infamous and respected teams ever to take the court, when ESPN's acclaimed ‘30 for 30' series premieres Bad Boys on April 17.
The 100-minute film, directed by Zak Levitt, will chronicle a team best remembered for winning games with a combination of defense and unabashed physicality.
Immediately following the debut broadcast, ESPN NBA analysts Jalen Rose (Detroit native) and Bill Simmons will host a one-hour discussion of this incredible era of NBA hoops.
SI.com's Richard Deitsch goes into great detail, regarding the highly anticipated production.
