Former Hoops Stars Donate Time & Money To Flint Water Crisis (Photos)

I recently sat down with University of Michigan Fab Five member Jimmy King at the conclusion of a visit to Flint, Michigan. King, along with NBRPA (National Basketball Retired Players Association) members Derrick Coleman, Justus Thigpen, Willie Norwood and Maceo Baston donated cases of water to families at Mott Community College, in response to the ongoing Flint water crisis.

The below photos are provided by Derrick Coleman, NBRPA - Legends of Basketball.

Being a native of nearby Saginaw, Michigan (located approximately 35 miles north of Flint), I partnered with King to deliver the much-needed water and to aid the city through the purchase of one-of-a-kind, rare, autographed photos of King. Since I am in the Flint/Davison area often, I cannot imagine what the people of the region are going through on a daily basis. Jimmy has been a good friend of mine for a few years now, so it is the least I could do.

"You hear about it (in the news), but until you're actually there and talking to the people, it's unbelievable when you think about the small things like having to use water to cook, take a shower, you know," explained King.

King later stated that he talked to a resident that was paying three times higher than his regular water bill.

Below are links to these one-of-a-kind autographed photos of Jimmy King, which are available for purchase. All proceeds will go towards aiding the people of Flint, as I will personally deliver cases of water to those in need.
