Goodman League-Drew League Sights & Sounds: Derrick Williams (Video & Photo)

Derrick Williams Drew LeagueLa Mirada, California native Derrick Williams was the second overall pick in last June's NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves. The former Arizona Wildcat All-American and 2010-11 Pac-10 Player of the Year has yet to don a T-Wolves' jersey due to the ongoing and seemingly unending NBA lockout. With this being the case, the only opportunity for fans to catch a glimpse of rookie stars like Williams is at either a Summer League game or charity focused event.

Sunday, the Southern California native represented the Los Angeles based Drew League in their rematch with the Washington D.C. based Goodman League. Ironically, Williams' current and potentially soon-to-be former Wolves teammate, Michael Beasley, was on hand playing for the team from our nation's capital. The game took place in Long Beach, California.

Take a look at the below video of the 6-8 Williams throwing down a baseline jam, after being hacked by none other than Beasley.

Speaking of Beasley, the 6-10 lefty was the only player on either team to foul out of the game, a 48-minute contest void of any level of defensive effort. Beasley garnered his sixth foul with 3:30 left in the 3rd quarter.
