Lance Martinez from My Detroit Sports provides an up close look at Atlanta Hawks point guard Dennis Schroder signing autographs, prior to a recent game at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
The 23-year-old native of Germany was originally drafted by the Hawks in the first round of the 2013 draft. Schroder spent the first three seasons of his career coming off the bench, while Atlanta started Jeff Teague at the point guard position. As a result of Teague’s offseason trade to the Pacers, Schroder assumed the starting gig at the beginning of this season.
In his first year as a starter, Schroder has lived up to billing, while averaging 17.4 points, 6.3 assists and 2.9 rebounds per game.
During his 3.5 seasons in the ATL, Schroder has amassed averages of 10.7 points, 4.3 assists and 2.3 rebounds per contest.
