Hedu Turkoglu Now Has A Lot In Common With Lance Armstrong

It's been a dismal season for the Orlando Magic. The Magic presently have a record of 15–37 and are 21.5 games out of first place in the Eastern Conference, while sitting 11.5 games out of a playoff berth.

On Wednesday, the NBA announced that forward Hedo Turkoglu will be suspended 20 games, after testing positive for an anabolic steroid called methenolone. This is a notable story only because pro basketball has been largely free of performance-enhancing drugs. This is not a good look for the NBA.

Turkoglu has had a terrible season, playing in only 11 games, due to an injury to his left wrist. He's averaging just 2.9 points per game.

Turkoglu is making $11.8 million this season and has one year left on his contract. The 6-10 forward from Turkey will be 34 in March.
