iFolloSports.com NBA Finals Thoughts: Hello Cleveland

Wednesday night is Game 3 of the 2017 NBA Finals, with the scene shifting to Quicken Loans Arena, in downtown Cleveland. It has been very well chronicled how simply dominant the Warriors have been so far in this series, amid cruising to a 2-0 lead. It is very hard to believe that we are in the same exact position as last year’s finals, with the Warriors arriving to Northeastern Ohio in such great shape.

In Game 3 of the 2016 NBA Finals, even with Kevin Love sidelined due to a concussion, the Cavaliers stormed back into the series with a 120-90 victory. Kyrie Irving had 30 points, with LeBron James scoring 32. The Game 3 celebration would turn out to be short-lived, as the Cavs fell down 3-1, after a 108-97 home loss.

While many observers have given Cleveland little chance to come back and win this series, there is a belief among some that the Cavs best chance to notch a victory is Game 3. The Cavs will definitely get a surge from the home crowd and the ability to sleep in their own beds. On many occasions, this is the game the underdog team does emerge victorious.

Game 3 could go either way, but in the end, the Warriors may just have too much firepower for the defending champs to overcome in a seven-game series, even though LeBron and company were able to come back from being down 3-1, a mere one season ago.

Game 3 tips off Wednesday night at 9:00 ET on ABC.
