iFolloSports.com NBA Finals Thoughts: Warriors Lead 3-0

Game 3 of the 2017 NBA Finals was the thriller that NBA fans and executives had been clamoring for and it wound up being an absolutely crushing loss for the Cavailers. The Cavs played well, as LeBron James had another great game with 39 points and Kyrie Irving came alive with 38. Cleveland had a four-point lead with just over a minute left, but after a series of empty possessions, Kevin Durant sank the go-ahead three-point shot with 45 seconds left.

Once again, the Cavs came up short in the fourth quarter.

The Warriors won 118-113, giving GSW a commanding 3-0 lead. As has been the case throughout the finals, the Steph Curry and Kevin Durant combo came up huge. Durant netted 31 points, with Curry tallying 26 points and a surprising 13 rebounds.

The Warriors moved to 15-0 in this postseason, which is now the longest playoff winning streak in the history of the four major sports. A Game 4 victory would move the franchise to a crazy 16-0 for the playoffs, something no team in NBA history has ever done.

This incredible feat would most certainly top their recording setting 73-win regular season of 2015-2016, because this campaign would of course end with winning a title.

If the Cavs came up victorious Wednesday night, this maybe could have been a series, but that loss all but wraps things up. Cleveland gave it their best shot and it was simply not enough. The defending champs could win Game 4, but remember, no NBA team has ever come back from an 0-3 deficit and it won't start now.
