Info On The NBA Draft Location, Player Hotel and NYC Happenings | Video
Thursday night, the 2019 NBA Draft will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The Nets home arena has hosted the event every year since 2013. The $1 billion facility, located in the borough’s Fort Greene neighborhood, opened its doors in time for the 2012-2013 season, with the selection meeting becoming a constant thereafter.
During the course of the week, the assembled draft prospects are calling the Grand Hyatt New York home. Located in Midtown Manhattan (adjacent to Grand Central Terminal), the luxury hotel sits five miles north of Barclays, via the Manhattan or Brooklyn Bridge.
Here is video of the future basketball millionaires departing the Grand Hyatt, en route to the Jr. NBA Skills Clinic. The Wednesday gathering took place at the Basketball City complex, three miles south of the hotel, on Manhattan’s Lower East Side (just off FDR Drive).
