An Inside Look At The Pelicans Stay In The Bay Area

Pelicans practice War Memorial Gym University of San Francisco, Pelicans Ritz Carlton, San FranciscoMonday night, the New Orleans Pelicans take on the top seeded Golden State Warriors, in Game 2 of their first round Western Conference series. The Warriors took Game 1 106-99.

During New Orleans' visit to the Bay Area, the team is calling The Ritz Carlton, San Francisco home. Located on Stockton Street, the Nob Hill property (adjacent to Chinatown and the Financial District) sits 16 miles across the Bay Bridge from Oakland's Oracle Arena.

Despite the Warriors playing home games in the East Bay, all NBA teams elect to stay in the far more cosmopolitan locale of The City by the Bay.

Amid their stay in SF, NOLA conducted off day practice and gameday shootaround at the War Memorial Gym, on the campus of the University of San Francisco. The historic venue sits 3 miles west of the Ritz, near Golden Gate Park.
