An Interview With Trey Burke & Family

During an early season visit to the Detroit Pistons, second year point guard Trey Burke, along with his father/agent Benji and mother Ronda, sat down with iFolloSports.com Michigan correspondent Lance Martinez to discuss the 22-year-old's blossoming NBA career, as well as the family's feelings on returning to the state of Michigan.

The entirety of the piece (titled “The Homecoming"), which also features Burke signing autographs and interacting with fans, is available above.

Despite being a native of neighboring Ohio, every Burke appearance at The Palace of Auburn Hills continues to be meaningful, due of course to the Michigan alum's integral contribution to the Wolverines 2013 NCAA Championship runner-up squad.

Ironically, the Pistons had a chance to draft Burke, but passed on him in favor of Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. Burke would be selected one pick later by the Timberwolves, who would soon send him to the Utah Jazz, as part of a draft day trade.

So far this season, Burke is averaging 12.7 points and 5.1 assists per game, for the 13-26 Jazz.
