Jimmy Butler Does Running and Shooting Drills At Wolves Facility (Videos)

Jimmy Butler Injury Rehab On February 23, in the Minnesota Timberwolves first game after the All-Star break, star swingman Jimmy Butler injured his meniscus, during a road game at the Houston Rockets. After initially fearing a tear, which would keep him out of action well into next season, Butler underwent a less invasive surgery, with the hope of returning to the court in four to six weeks.

With his recovery coming along as well as anyone could have hoped, Tuesday, Butler was extremely active at the Courts at Mayo Clinic Square, Minnesota’s downtown Minneapolis practice facility.

Despite not yet being cleared for basketball contact, Butler took part in both running drills with assistant coach John Lucas III and shooting exercises with teammate Jamal Crawford (video below).

The Wolves are cautiously optimistic that Butler could return prior to the regular season's conclusion, or by the beginning of postseason play, if the currently eighth place team makes it that far.
