Jimmy Butler Meets Special Fan One Day After Meniscus Injury (Video)
Friday night, in the Timberwolves first game after the extended All-Star break, Minnesota superstar Jimmy Butler injured his meniscus on a non-contact, third quarter play at the Houston Rockets. Butler underwent surgery on Sunday, with both he and the team caustically optimistic that Butler could return in time for the postseason, if of course the Wolves are able to hang onto their playoff spot without the four-time All-Star on the floor.
Saturday night, one day after suffering the injury and one day prior to his surgery, a hobbling Butler spent time with Matthew Long, who along with his family traveled from Seattle to Minneapolis thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The below video shows Butler initially walking into the Target Center press conference room and making introductions with Matthew and his family.

The second clip displays Butler and Long talking about their shared love of football.
The two found some common ground (in the form of football, of course).
