Joe Johnson Signing His Signature In LA (Video)

When the Brooklyn Nets' efforts to acquire Dwight Howard fell by the wayside, the club's next order of business involved the reeling in of high scoring forward Joe Johnson. Last July, Brooklyn successfully swung a deal for the Arkansas-alum, in a package that sent five players and two draft picks to the Atlanta Hawks.

Johnson, now in his twelfth NBA season, is known throughout the sport for two very distinct, yet noteworthy career accomplishments.

Johnson's first such reason for acclaim involves his solid level of on court production, during stints in Boston, Phoenix, Atlanta and now NYC (17.7 PPG, 4.2 RPG, 4.4 APG, including this season).

While the Little Rock native's career stat line is certainly impressive, none of these numbers remotely compare to the unreal amount of zeros present in the 6-7 shooter's bank account.

After signing a five-year/$70 million contract in 2005, Johnson upped the ante even further in 2010, when hammering out a six-year/$123 million arrangement.

This season, Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov is paying Johnson nearly $20 million, with the Russian billionaire slated to owe the six-time All-Star just short of $25 million in 2015-2016.

Wow! Johnson's agent Arn Tellem is fantastic at his job!

Tuesday, per the above original video, the incredibly well compensated Johnson stopped to sign autographs for fans, outside the Montage Beverly Hills hotel.

Later in the night, Johnson posted 14 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists, in Brooklyn's 95-90 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.
