Lance Martinez of My Detroit Sports sent along this original photo of Wizards all-star guard John Wall signing autographs, earlier this season. The event took place outside of a Detroit area hotel, prior to Wall’s season ending heal injury.

Sadly, a John Wall autograph may be hard to come by, during the next couple years.

Wall, who was the first pick of the 2010 NBA Draft, has put together a very good, but now injury plagued career. Amid appearing in five All-Star Games, the Kentucky alum has helped turn the Wizards from frequent underachievers to that of a perennial playoff team.

Unfortunately for Wall, the last few years have not been kind to his body. Last season, he missed extended time with knee issues, and in late December of this campaign, it was announced that the North Carolina native would miss the remainder of this season, after sustaining a serious heel injury.

Making matters that much worse, Wall recently sustained an Achilles tear, after falling at his home. Sadly, the 28-year-old will now likely miss next season as well.
