Kawhi Leonard Purchases A Stunning Downtown LA Residence | Photos

Kawhi Leonard LA Condo For the entirety of the second half of the 20th century, downtown Los Angeles served as an almost exclusively 9 to 5 downtown area. Surrounded on all sides by freeways, LA’s version of center city was active during daytime working hours, with little going on at night, with the exception of a spattering of large hotels. With this five-decade scenario at play, the second largest city’s downtown area only possessed a population of 18,000 residents, at the close of the 1990’s.

Fast-forwarding to 2020, the population of downtown LA has jumped to more than 70,000 inhabitants, with another 20,000 expected to arrive in the next five years. In the two decades since Staples Center opened its doors in 1999, downtown LA has been the site of an incredible amount of new development, including that of brand new office buildings, hotels, restaurants, nightlife and residential options.

One of the signature pieces of 21st century downtown development involved the construction of the L.A. Live entertainment complex, located directly across the street from Staples Center. The 5.6-million-square-foot complex includes an array of dining options, along with ESPN’s LA studios, the 7,100-seat Microsoft Theater, an interactive Grammy Museum, as well as a 54-story combined JW Marriott/Ritz-Carlton hotel, which features the 224-unit Ritz-Carlton Residences subdevelopment.

With the Ritz-Carlton Residences incredibly close proximity to Staples Center in mind, an NBA superstar by the name of Kawhi Leonard recently purchased a 4,280-square-foot condo, amid the ultra luxurious building that also lays claim to a rooftop pool, private workout area, concierge service and valet parking.

The $6.725 million high-rise abode comes equipped with 3 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, 2 fireplaces, a master bathroom steam shower, along with a state-of-the art smart home system. Below and in the upper right are photos of the spectacular Kawhi pad.

While the two-time NBA Finals MVP now calls downtown LA home, during his Clippers, season, the San Diego State alum spends his summers in the toney north San Diego County city of Rancho Santa Fe, California.
