Kevin Love Taking His Talents To Manhattan Beach

While rumors continue about the possibility of NBA stars playing this season in Europe or China, Kevin Love of the Timberwolves has a different plan. He wants to take his talents to Manhattan Beach (California).   

At a press conference in New York City Tuesday, the leading rebounder in the NBA announced that he intends to play in next month's Manhattan Beach Open on the pro volleyball circuit.  

Love said he was approached by representatives of tour sponsor Jose Cuervo.  

"I'm not expecting to win," explained Love, "but I am expecting to be competitive."  

Love, who lives in nearby Santa Monica during the off-season, also hopes to be selected as a USA team member in the Olympic basketball competition next year.
