Kobe Bryant Living The Life In His Newport Beach Mansion
When Kobe Bryant finally rides off into the sunset this spring, he will be doing so with an incredible view of a fabled stretch of Pacific Ocean coastline. Amid recently selling his previous Newport Coast, California home, Kobe and family now get their rest at a sprawling 14,500-square-foot mansion, located in the guard gated Pelican Crest community (across Newport Coast Drive from his previous address). The 6-bedroom, 11-bathroom pad comes equipped with a 5-car garage, spectacular pool and the previously noted glorious views of the Pacific.
An aerial shot of the palace is available here, with this shot displaying what the property looked like during construction.
Kobe purchased the plot of Orange County land for $9.4 million in 2008.
Located a 9-iron from The Resort at Pelican Hill, the property sits 45 miles south of the Lakers El Segundo (CA) practice facility and 48 miles southwest of Staples Center.
It should also be noted that Kobe’s retirement abode rests 9 miles south of 1499 Monrovia Avenue, the Newport Beach office building that will serve as the future world headquarters of Kobe Inc., the icon’s post basketball business venture.
