Kobe Bryant Spotted At Newport Beach Tennis Club
Recently, iFolloSports.com chronicled Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant driving his brand new Ferrari away from the team's El Segundo (CA) practice facility.
iFolloSports has now received word that a couple weeks prior to the above scene, the Newport Beach resident was spotted hanging around the posh Newport Beach Tennis Club.
Located near the intersection of the 73 Freeway and Jamboree Road, this club, which features 19 tennis courts, a junior Olympic pool, fitness center and restaurant/bar, sits six miles northwest of Kobe's Newport Coast home.
In a recent interview with ESPN LA 710, Kobe mentioned his newfound love of tennis, to the point that he claimed to play a grueling three hours a day during the just concluded offseason. Kobe even noted how he intends to bring a racquet with him on road trips throughout the season.
His interest in the game was also evident during the recent London Olympic Games. While representing Team USA, Bryant and teammate LeBron James were spectators at the respective semifinal matches of fellow superstars Roger Federer and Serena Williams.
As Kobe Bryant's legendary basketball career marches to a conclusion, this wide array of tennis based activity may provide fans a glimpse into what the future Hall of Famer's post NBA athletic life may look like.
