Kobe Bryant's 8,471-Square-Foot Home Can Be Yours (Photos)
Monday, Kobe Bryant's season came to a conclusion, after he was officially diagnosed with a torn rotator cuff. This marks the third consecutive campaign in which the future Hall of Famer has sustained a serious injury, with Achilles tendon and knee issues preceding this current shoulder problem. Sadly, the clear breaking down of Kobe's body may mark the end of the 36-year-old's unbelievable 19-season career. Even if he does elect to come back for a 20th season, the NBA's third all-time leading scorer may just be a shell of his former self.
Off the court, Kobe is obviously sitting pretty. In addition to his Ferrari, Range Rover, Mercedes, and numerous other cars, Kobe and family currently call an 8,471-square-foot Orange County mansion home. Originally built in 1997, the abode is on the market for a cool $6,995,000. Down a little more than $1 million, from when it first came available last year.
Here is the latest LA Times pictorial of the house.
The Newport Coast property boasts 4 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, a pool, spa, gym, screening room, outdoor kitchen/barbeque, along with views of the ocean and inland OC landscape.
The home's gated community sits 2 miles from the Pacific, 45 miles south of the Lakers' practice facility and 48 miles southwest of Staples Center.
As Kobe's career winds down, it will be interesting to see where he and his family choose to call home, once the aforementioned residence is eventually sold.
