The Lakers Literally Limp Into Game 3 Matchup Vs. Spurs

Kobe Bryant Achilles tendon tear, Steve Nash injury, Steve Blake injury, Jodie Meeks injuryFriday night, the Los Angeles Lakers host the San Antonio Spurs, at Staples Center, in Game 3 of their first round Western Conference series.

The Spurs come in with a commanding 2-0 lead, while the Lakers enter incredibly beaten up. LA is already without their all-world star, Kobe Bryant, who tore his Achilles tendon a few weeks ago and is out indefinitely, beyond even just the postseason. To make matters worse for the Lakers, their backcourt is basically depleted, as Steve Nash, Steve Blake and Jodie Meeks are also expected to be out for Friday's contest. Nash is the only guy that might find his way into the game, but even if he takes the court, the future Hall of Famer will be nowhere near full strength.

The Spurs are much healthier than they were a few weeks ago, and with the Lakers so shorthanded, it would be amazing to see the massively underachieving Lake Show even take as much as a game, during the remainder of the series.
